Mission visit from U.S. to Pena Blanca

The black eye is a result of neglect.
Our mission team nurses find a new friend to help.

This little girl has extreme burns on left side of body, her foot is gone.

Things should be better now, but i notice it was hard for her to smile, she was burned at the age of three, due to a fire caused by a candle.

Our little friend has blonde hair, (strong European influence) but she is 100% Honduran.

Hi, I've never met you guys, but I check your blog from time to time and was looking through the posts and saw this one. I remember reading it back in the spring, but never remembered it when Rubenia (Ruby), this little girl, came to live at Eternal Family Project here in Puerto Cortes. She's been here for about 3 weeks and is doing great. She's super friendly and almost always smiling. She's going to physical therapy everyday, for her leg, and has an appointment scheduled with a medical mission team in January, for a possible prosthetic leg/foot. (I think the burns are from a candle accident)
